Medtronic and DaVita plan to form a joint venture to manufacture medical devices for kidney care. Medtronic will contribute the Renal Care Solutions business and related product portfolio, as well as global manufacturing R&D teams and facilities. The partners will have equal stakes in the venture. The joint venture is expected to be completed next year.
